Hello, everyone, and apologies for the lack of news in the last weeks or so. My husband and I both caught COVID-19 last week and were both down for the count. That was my first time catching COVID since all this mess started, and man, I would be very pleased to not catch it ever again. And the sinus infection I got after I started to recover from COVID wasn’t any fun, either.
Needless to say, I didn’t get any writing done while I was sick, but now that I’m feeling better, I’m back in action! Roughly 700 new words added to the story, for a total of just over 13,000 words for the project as a whole. I’m loving what I’ve got so far, although I think I’ll be adding a little more magic to the world when I get to revision. Right now it’s reading about 90% Western and 10% fantasy, and I think I want to adjust that a little more. But first draft is first draft, so we’ll see how it all shakes out on the page before I decide to make any big changes!
