I’ve been busy the last few weeks!
I did hit a couple of DNF (Did Not Finish) books, but man, oh, man, did I find some great ones once I got through those.
Jon Cronshaw’s Dawn of Assassins was the first I finished since I finished Three Axes To Fall by Sam Sykes. I enjoyed it! It’s less about assassins and more about thieves, but I’m completely fine with that. It was an easy read, too–I finished it in only a couple of days. I enjoyed the ‘found family’ themes and the relationships between the members of the thief group that makes up the main characters in the story. My only quibble is that some of the story was a tad predictable, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment.
Then up next I decided to try Martha Wells’ Murderbot Diaries series. I found that I already had the first two stories already in my Kindle library, and holy crow, I loved them! I finished All Systems Red and Artificial Condition both in one night, and then immediately added the rest of the series to my Wish List (my wonderful husband keeps an eye on this list for sales on the books we’re interested in. He’s fantastic like that!). I need the rest very, very soon, for sure!

Dawn of Assassins: 4.5/5, will read more in the series.
Murderbot Diaries: 5/5, demanding the rest of the series. Will definitely reread in the future.
