I’m still on a big reading kick. I just finished reading my 50th book for this year so far!
After I finished Dobson’s The Flaw In All Magic, I dove into an ARC copy of a book I grabbed from Booksprout. Dane Hanson’s Worst Knights Ever.
4.5/5, and the only reason I took away half a star is because I don’t typically enjoy potty humor and sex jokes. Those aside, this book was hilarious. Laugh out loud funny, silly and ridiculous, but with a good heart and something meaningful at the core of it all.
The story follows a bunch of people–celebrities, knighted by the Queen–who find themselves called upon to rid England of an actual, honest to goodness dragon. Absurd in all the best ways, it was a great beach read!
Then, since I was in a dragon-y mood, and dinosaurs are similar to dragons, and because I’d never actually read it before, I picked up Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park. I’ve loved the movie since I was a kid, and I have to say, I really enjoyed the novel. 5/5 for me.
