What Are You Reading?

I’m still on that Western novel kick, and this week I dove back into some of my Louis L’Amour collection. This time it was Passin’ Through, which I don’t remember reading before, although I know I must have at least once.

The narrator of the novel never gives his name, so the folks he interacts with just call him “Mr. Passin’,” because he often tells them he’s just ‘passin’ through.’ Something of a mystery as well as that classic Western story, Passin’ is a drifting cowhand who comes across two women living alone on a nice ranch, and he signs on for a few days to help them clean up the place. But all is not as it appears, and soon Passin’ find himself in the middle of a crazy, mixed up attempt to steal the ranch from its rightful owner.

5/5, just the classic L’Amour story I was looking for this week.
